Short Term Hospitalization at The Carolton

Three out of four new Carolton patients enter our facility after a surgical procedure or illness that required hospitalization. Typically, short-term care patients do not require the more intensive care of an acute-care hospital, but still need the attention of round-the-clock nurses and/or rehabilitation before they can return home. For these patients, The Carolton Chronic & Convalescent Hospital is an excellent choice.

Comprehensive services
Our experienced nurses and state-certified nursing assistants provide day-to-day care for our short-stay patients, working closely with the patient's own doctor who directs the overall plan of care. Our expert dietitians and physical, occupational, and speech therapists provide additional, individualized support to speed recovery and rehabilitation. Social workers and case managers assist patients and their families with insurance issues and coordination of care, and make arrangements for the patient's discharge to home or to another facility for a more appropriate level of care when needed.

Amenities to make your stay comfortable
The Carolton also offers amenities like internet access, television and daily newspaper delivery to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Read More...

Insurance
Medicare covers most admissions to skilled nursing facilities after a qualifying acute-care hospital stay. Read More...
